Is Toyota FT-1 The Next Supra?

Toyota promised to surprise everyone at 2014 Detroit Auto Show and guess what THEY DID IT.

When we talk about Toyota people often think of boring fuel economic hybrid cars like a Prius or a Yaris and seems like people have just forgot about one of the most admired fast cars on the streets - the Supra - and they say FT-1 can be the new Supra. FT-1 stands for Future Toyota 1, yeah it sounds a bit boring but i'm good with it as long as the future toyota looks like this.

Anyways, Supra's successor or no Supra's successor, this cars still gives me goosebumps and I remeber the last time when I was in love with a car was back in 2010 when Toyota revealed its 9-year project the "Lexus LF-A", which was one of the most expensive Japanese cars ever build with a price tag of $445,000 but after looking at the FT-1 seems like it's time to move on.

So talking about the FT-1, it is a sports-car of another class and seems like is ready for some serious fun on the track. The front with that aggressive nose popping out looks very much inspired from the Formula One car and very much reminds me of an old friend the "Ferrari Enzo" but what I like more about this car is that glass engine cover which gives this car that very classy sports-car look.

The side of the car is exactly how it should be, a futuristic side mirror and a long hood that the driver is almost sitting on the rear wheel is simply stunning and guess more, this car has those super hot gull-wing doors.

Personally, the most I liked about FT-1 is the back of the car, those futuristic tail-lights, that aggressive looking rear diffuser with a Formula One type LED break light. That extremely sophisticated and stylish looking rear wing which comes out while you speed up and those exhausts are exactly on the right place that makes this car looks just perfect.

So after looking at it I would just say that this is exactly what I have been expecting from toyota and the new FT-1 looks more than... just a sports-car.
